Tanzania Tumaini

This specific coffee is called Tanzania “Tumaini,” which means “HOPE” in Kiswahili. It is a family-owned business with deep roots in Colombia, led by Alejandro Galante. Located in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Africa Plantation Kilimanjaro (APK) Estate in Tanzania comprises 7 farms, which have obtained long-term land use lease titles from 6 Rural Cooperatives, which own the land and are the main suppliers of labor in the area. With intercropping, shade, and irrigation systems, its 1,347 ha are dedicated to Arabica coffee crops. A large part of the land is represented by forest reservoirs and production infrastructure. Regenerative agriculture is carried out by combining long-term perennial Arabica coffee crops with short-term nutrient crops that stabilize the soil, water balance, and biodiversity, while optimizing land use and ensuring rural jobs for local communities. Q grading points: 82 | Notes: Milk chocolate, berries, and tobacco | Recommended preparation methods: Espresso, filter, alternative methods, or milk preparations
